[Kickstarter update #12] Catching up – bit by bit

We’re all still a bit in shock at Sauna Game HQ after an incredible experience at Spiel in Essen!

The reception for our team and our game was so amazingly positive and warm, we really felt welcomed by the board gaming community and given our chance to share our laughter with the whole convention!

We met and demoed with hundreds and hundreds of awesome and unique people who shared their enthusiasm for the game with us. As well as collected a whole bunch of contacts we still need to work our way through – sorry if you’re waiting to hear from us, we’re a little behind but catching up.

This has also had a huge impact on our campaign, boosting us well over the 20k mark and unlocking stretch goals we hadn’t had the chance to even announce!

On that note, we’re really excited to be picking up the demo quickplay version of the game we made for Spiel and turning it into a Party Mode for the game with simplified rules and a shorter playtime. It’s almost there, so with a little more playtesting it should be ready to add to the game.

Next up at 25k we’ll be introducing a customisable player board giving your free choice of role, kinks and likes for the adventure to come.

We’ve said it a lot, but we need to keep saying it – THANK YOU!!!!! We’re so grateful to every single one of our backers who has supported this project, all the people who have helped us spread the word to make this campaign way bigger than we could have wished for, as well as all of our new friends we met at Essen who welcomed us with all the laughter we could hope for!

A special mention has to go to Johno – for being an incredible friend and supporter, giving priceless advice and spending time helping me despite being so busy with BarPig. Thank you for helping us make this all happen!

Btw – the latest and greatest 3rd release of BarPig: The Great Festival is also live on Kickstarter now

Finally a massive thank you to the Gay Sauna the Board Game Team at Spiel! Craig my (straight) brother, who flew in from the UK, got us to Essen before tirelessly promoted the gayest game Essen has ever seen. To Yaron my Husband who has supported this project for all these years yet continues to find the enthusiasm to come and work your ass off with demos. And to Miko and Estefano for being awesome and putting your hearts into every single demo. We couldn’t have made this event so special without all of you.
